But prior to the 1930s plastics\, as we know them today\, did not exist. We will take a walk back in time to the 1880s at the Nathaniel Dean House to get an idea of how people lived without plastic. The tour will be led by Ann Waidelich\, curator at the Nathaniel Dean House and board member of Historic Blooming Grove Historical Society.\n\nBut that's not all! Attendees at this Eco-Action Tuesdays program will make a bar of shampoo to take with them as a reminder that indeed there was life before plastic!\n\nPlease note that the event will be held at the \;Nathaniel Dean House\, 1718 Monona Drive. This program is for adults and teens. Please register online or by calling the library. There will be free refreshments and a door prize. \;Eco-Action Tuesdays is sponsored by MGE and Winnequah TerraCycle. \; \; \;  \;  \; \;\nImage URL: https://s3.amazonaws.com/static.evanced.info/Customer/mymonona/DEAN_HOUSE_MONONA_A18390B8.JPG X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:
