6:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Event Details

Join us online for an introduction to the Monona ARC, a group started by 6 Monona citizens committed to community conversations about the issues of race, inclusivity, and diversity in Monona.

Monona ARC is a 6-week series of study circles, developed, facilitated, and run by Monona residents that share a commitment to understanding the complexities of white supremacy, Monona history, and taking steps to change the future.

ARC stands for Anti Racism Circles, and the program is committed to these principles:
  • Awareness within the Monona community around issues of racial justice;
  • Relationships among neighbors to grow a community of anti-racist practice;
  • Commitments to concrete actions and behaviors to make Monona more inclusive.
This Nov. 18, online event will provide an overview of the ARC program, an introduction of the leaders, and examples of local activities and projects that have developed as a result. Information will also be provided for those that are interested in participating in this community-led program.

Registered participants will receive an email with login information one day before the program.
