Event Details

When we think about the problems our environment is facing these days, it is easy to feel overwhelmed, but when we look at all of the positive projects being implemented around the world, we can begin to feel hopeful once more. Join Heather Swan, author of Where Honeybees Thrive: Stories from the Field, who will showcase a wide range of projects that are aiming to encourage healthy pollinators and ecosystems. In her book, she introduces her readers to beekeepers from Wisconsin, California, China, and South Africa; urban farmers from Milwaukee, Wisconsin; blueberry growers from Michigan and Illinois; and many more. Come hear these stories, taste some honey, and learn strategies for making positive change in our own backyards. Plus take home an item you will make to help pollinators thrive in your neighborhood!
