Event Details

Trees are amazing healers. They pull CO2 and other pollutants from the air and redeposit carbon back into the soil to slow climate change, slow damaging runoff, cool our bodies and our homes, and shelter us from winter winds. They can lower our energy bills. We climb them and rake under them for exercise. Their stateliness and strength, and their generous gifts of food and shade and habitat and sounds and seasonal colors reassure us. But trees can only continue to do this if they are carefully planted and tended. Come join us to learn how to successfully plant and tend a tree in your community or own yard.  Presenter Lisa Johnson, Dane County Extension Horticulture Educator, will explain Proper Tree Planting. It's a worthy investment you can make towards mending our climate change ills.
