S.T.E.A.M Saturday! Fun Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, or Math tailored activities for children in Kindergarten – 5th Grade!
Special guest Sarah Gamalinda, Mellon Public Humanities Fellow. Ph.D. Candidate, African Cultural Studies, M.A., French, University of Wisconsin - Madison
"Nakira’s World comes to life through the visionary work of Winnie Karanja, a social entrepreneur with a passion for racial and gender equity in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Nakira’s World emerges from a larger mission of reorienting our cultural imaginations about who “belongs” in STEM and ushers girls and youth of color into a playful and multidimensional world of problem-solving."
