STEM Tales - Volcano Explosion!

Event Details

STEM Your Imagination is designed for ages 8-15 and will feature fun, hands-on activities.

Details: In this program participants will create a volcano mound out of homemade dough and then add the fizzy fun ingredients to observe a volcano eruption from their mound!

Materials you will need to find at home for this event: Large and ventilated work space, measuring cups (both wet and dry), water, Bowl, oil (vegetable, avocado, canola, etc.), optional food coloring

Materials the library will provide for this program: Salt, Flour (please alert Rob after registering if you have a gluten allergy!), empty bottle, Baking Soda, Colored Vinegar, Dish Soap

Registration is required for this event and closes the Sunday before the time listed on the event. Participants will be able to use Monona Library curbside pick-up to get materials for the program. A link to a video detailing the process for the program will be released via email to participants at the specified time. Please feel free to share pictures of your creation!
