Got the urge to camp but don't know where to start? Or are you a camping dabbler that would like to know more? This program will help you to prepare for the wonder and delight of the great outdoors. Brad and Karen Wendt, seasoned campers for over 40 years, are the presenters who will share general information about planning a camping trip. Using a
slideshow, they will briefly discuss what goes into kitchen and
gear packs, practical tips for fire building, and share reminders
about Leave No Trace principals.
[optional: Take home a piece of
paracord to practice a new knot and a list of books to check out from
the library.]
The Wendts have been car and canoe camping for over 40 years. They started taking their children camping from infancy and
now take granddaughters into the woods. Brad and Karen frequent places
like Quetico Provincial Park, the Boundary Waters, Sylvania Wilderness,
and other beautiful lakes and rivers of Wisconsin.
