Nature Explorers: Kids Naturally Story & Activity Hour

"Let's Explore Books About Trees & Fall Colors"

Children enjoy the colors of Autumn with Zoe Hall's book "Fall Leaves Fall." What happens to leaves in the fall? Children participate in helping a tree change into its fall dress. Everyone creates a special tree with fingerprint leaves and/or a leaf print design. Bring your own cotton T-shirt, pillowcase, or white bandana or use paper provided by the library.

A free nature education program for children entering Kindergarten to 5th grade. Youth Services Coordinator, Karen Wendt along with Wisconsin Master Naturalist, Deborah Proctor and various guest presenters will entertain families with children's books about nature and wildlife at a special event that is part of a monthly series “Nature Explorers! Kids Naturally.”

Registration of one contact person is encouraged, so we can alert you if there are any changes to our plans. Walk-ins are welcome. Siblings are invited to attend.

Why? “If a child is to keep alive his inborn sense of wonder… he needs the companionship of at least one adult who can share it, rediscovering with him the joy, excitement and mystery of the world we live in.” – Rachel Carson, The Sense of Wonder
