How to Prevent Basement Flooding – Ever had water in your basement?  Whether it’s a reoccurring issue or has only happened during extreme weather conditions (like we experienced in Summer 2018), in most cases, it can be avoided.  Over the past 6 years, the experts at Project Home have corrected water runoff issues for numerous homeowners and they want to share this information with you!  With a little bit of planning, a few rules and some basic landscaping tools, this is a problem most homeowners can address on their own (or with a few extra hands).  NO LARGE MACHINERY required!  Let us help you keep your basement dry next Spring, Summer and the years ahead.

Jason Hafeman is the Outreach Manager at Project Home and has been with the Madison nonprofit since 2009.  Jason also is responsible for planning and scheduling Project Home’s free Home Maintenance Classes, which include Basic Household Plumbing, Cost Effective Energy Improvements and How to Prevent Basement Flooding.  He has also organized and led groups of volunteers on several landscaping projects to correct basement flooding issues, during the past 6 years.
