Event Details

· For families with children ages 3 to 5, however, all ages are welcome to attend. Free & Open to parents, grandparents, caregivers, teachers.

· Registration is highly recommended and preferred, however, you are welcome to drop in. Space is limited. Children are invited to visit the library in their PJs!

Parents learn what they can do at home to use books and games to enhance math concepts and learning for young children.

  • Learn about picture books with math concepts and how to incorporate the story into an activity from Ms. Karen. 

  • Monona Bank's Aaron Embury will share a fun history about why math is important.

  • Math Games demonstrated with time to play. 

  • Free Cookie! from Monona Grove School District. 

  • Random Drawing Door Prizes! Prizes from the Treasure Box.

  • Stay to play and check out new math kits after the program.


Studies show that children who receive quality early childhood education are more likely to be successful throughout their school years. Karen Wendt, Monona Public Library, coordinates Math Literacy Night with the Monona Grove Together 4 Kids program and with Aaron Embury, Monona Bank.
